Crime Writers’ Forum for South Asia

(formerly, the Crime Writers’ Association of South Asia or CWASA)

Hello friends and partners in crime writing! As you know we had launched the Crime Writers Association Of South Asia with many of you at the Jaipur Literature Festival, in 2014. As with everything in life, there were many exciting twists and turns, and now out of that effort has emerged a Crime Writers Forum For South Asia, which we, the founders of the Association, believe will be an improved avatar of the original.

This Forum is now part of the exciting Crime Writer’s Festival, an annual affair, which begins on 17th and 18th January, 2015 in Delhi. The Forum is something all of you who are Crime Writers can immediately become members of. The Forum is also open to those who are connected to Crime Writing in some way – as publishers, agents, publicists, journalists etc. Do fill in the attached form , and email it back to us, so that we can create a data bank of professionals who can all connect with each other and share their expertise and experiences. To begin with, we do hope all of you will register for the Crime Writer’s Festival and come there to interact on the subject that interests us all : What lies behind the explosion of crime writing, it’s popularity all over the world, and how do we improve and propagate our craft!

Please look out for the festival programme and be sure to join us! The best part is that this, CWFSA, is a completely free Forum for you to join. The only criteria , as mentioned above, is that you must be connected with crime writing in some way.

Eventually we hope to create a whole magazine for crime writers of South Asia, but in the meanwhile, you are welcome to leave brief messages and comments in the space provided below…of course the Adminstrator will keep an eye on who says what…And if a reply is needed we will do our best to provide the best one!

The CWASA website has been taken down, as you may have noticed, and replaced with the Crime Writer’s Festival website. At a later stage we will have lots of other activities that will connect us throughout the year….but in the meantime, look forward to seeing you at the festival!
